(Springfield, MO) -- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield.
Saturday marks the start of The Festival Of Lights.

It's a six-week celebration with free or low-cost Christmas activities with a variety of music and theatre performances.

The kick-off starts with a tree-lighting ceremony Saturday at the Plaza just east of Mediacom Ice Park. That's at 5:15 pm.

Then there will be a kids parade to lead the crowd to Hammons Field to meet Santa.

The Ice Park will also have free ice-skating from 7:00-8:00 pm.
