Director John Huff will be in Springfield today to talk about the free help that is available from the state funded "Claim" program. The Claim program can answer Medicare questions and help identify scams. Here are some things to watch out for during open enrollment season: *Beware of door to door or telemarketing pitches. *Remember, medicare has no sales representatives - some scammers will claim to work for medicare *Don't give out personal information to anyone who contacts you. *Only give information when you contact them. *Check with claim that both the insurance agent is licensed by the department and the plan is authorized by medicare |
