Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009 @09:24pm CST The number of seasonal flu cases in Greene County is down significantly.
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says it confirmed only 46 cases in the most recent reporting period. That's down from 140 cases the week before and continues the downward trend for the third week in a row. That doesn't necessarily mean we're out of the woods just yet. Health Director Kevin Gipson says the flu has three waves a year in the spring, fall, and mid-winter. Seasonal flu cases usually hit their peak in December and January. |
