Tuesday, Nov 17, 2009 @08:48am CST Several midwestern states are studying the creation of a college-credit exchange that would make it easier for some people to earn their college degrees. The project, researched by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, involves creating a central location where a student could store their college credits from several institutions. Colleges and universities would then bid to enroll students for the completion of their degrees. Missouri and Kansas are among the 12 states involved in the project, which is being financed by a $100,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
