Senator Kit Bond introduced a bill that would add six million dollars of funding to the homeless grant and per diem program. The program promotes the development of supportive housing and services with the goal of helping homeless veterans achieve residential stability. Over the last 10 years It has awarded more than 11 million dollars to community organizations that provide services to homeless veterans. If approved, the bill would push the grant program to 150 million. |
