Missouri Winter Games chairman Jeff Collins announced that Shawn Johnson will be in Springfield early next year. Last winter Nastia Luikin performed an exhibition as part of the games. Johnson won a gold medal and three silvers in the Bejing games. The 13-event winter games will feature sports like volleyball, basketball and gymastics. And will run from January through March on various weekends in the Springfield area. Johnson will be here sometime between February 26th through the 28th. We're also excited to announce that we'll have Shawn Johnson coming the Olympic Gold Medalist, her coach Chow is bringing his team to compete and also Ruland Gardner Olympic Gold Medalist as well." |
