An Ozark man will spend the next 10 years in prison for killing his wife.

James White was convicted in August in Christian County of shooting Candace White.

She was five months pregnant when she died outside her home in 2006.

White was originally charged with second degree murder.

He told police when they arrived at the scene his wife had been shot accidentally.

White is also serving time in a federal prison for being a felon in possession of a gun.
