Tuesday, Nov 3, 2009 @06:29pm CST Two more Ozarks schools are forced to cancel classes because of the flu.
The superintendent of the Exeter R-6 District says that school has been canceled for the rest of this week. Classes are set to resume next Monday. The same goes for Walnut Grove where sixty of the District's nearly 300 students didn't show up for classes today. In Greene County, the number of confirmed flu cases is down, but we're not out of the woods yet, say the experts. Since August 31st Greene County has seen 808 flu cases. Most of those in patients age zero to 24 and only eight are confirmed H1N1 but not every case is tested for H1N1. As for vaccines, the county received 6,400 doses of H1N1 today. These will be offered to school children and other individuals as determined by the Health Department. |
