Clorox Profits Up Due To H1N1 Worries

(New York, NY) -- Increased sales of disinfecting products due to the H1N1 pandemic have given a huge boost to Clorox Company's bottom line.
The company that produces the well known laundry bleach along with "disinfecting wipes" has reported fiscal first-quarter earnings up 23-percent.
Clorox Chairman and Chief Executive Don Knauss says the results exceeded expectations thanks to "strong sales of disinfecting products related to the H1N1 flu pandemic." For the quarter that ended on September 30th, Clorox reported a $157-million profit, up from 128-million the previous quarter.
