(Kansas City) -- Alleging violations of the "Fairness in Public Construction Act," a group that represents non-union construction businesses, is taking legal action against Missouri's Governor and Attorney General.
The Heart of America Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors has filed legal action asking that Jay Nixon and Chris Koster enforce state laws. Jim Kistler says he has seen anything but transparency in the handling of recent construction projects.
Kistler is hopeful the courts will order the state to follow the law that says the state and local governing bodies can not force projects to be done by union only labor.
