(Little Rock, AR) -- The man accused of killing Little Rock TV anchor Anne Pressly goes on trial this morning.

Pressly was killed just more than a year ago in her Little Rock home. Police say she was sexually assaulted and beaten.        

Curtis Vance is charged with capital murder. Vance's attorneys say he is mentally retarded and may not be fit to stand trial.

The judge ruled that based on previous court appearances Vance does not appear mentally retarded.

Since his arrest, Vance has claimed he is innocent.
