(Cape Girardeau, MO) -- Three people face charges this morning for murdering a pregnant woman in Cape Girardeau and her son earlier this week.

Investigators believe their deaths were part of an elaborate insurance scheme.

Jamie Orman and her 15-year-old son lived with Orman's boyfriend, John Lawrence. He co-owned the house with is estranged wife.

Lawrence was home at the time of the murders, but police believe he as the intended target.

Lawrence's estranged wife, her boyfriend and another man have been charged in the murders.

Police believe the three wanted to kill Lawrence and burn down the house to collect on the insurance.
