Friday, Oct 30, 2009 @04:40am CDT (East Camden, AR) -- Parts of Arkansas took a beating Thursday as severe storms swept through the area. The system spawned two possible tornadoes. In East Camden, about 100 miles south of Little Rock, a suspected tornado roared through the area, damaging the Arkansas Fire Academy. Fire trucks are partially buried under rubble. "By the time we were making it to the bathrooms our ears were starting to pop and it was eerily quiet for a second," recounted one witness. Officials say no one was seriously hurt. |
