Thursday, Oct 29, 2009 @05:14am CDT (Washington, DC) -- Connecticut Senator Chris Dodd wants to know why the production and distribution of the H1N1 vaccine is taking so long. Dodd has written to U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius inquiring into the delay in making the vaccine available. Several Connecticut schools have been closed because of apparent H1N1 outbreaks. Dodd says these closures are disruptive, and further highlight the need to make sure all at risk people quickly receive the vaccine. Dodd is a senior member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. (Copyright 2009 by VERTEXNews/Newsroom Solutions) |
