While that's not officially until April 22, there are a lot of events going on this week and weekend to mark Earth Day in the Ozarks
We wanted to give you plenty of time to make your plans, so here are a few things you might want to consider:

This Saturday, April 19, Ozarks Fox will host an e-waste recycling event at the Computer Recycling Center.
That's located at 1434 North National, and runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
You can bring in things like old computers, cell phones, and batteries

At the same time,  KOLR10 is hosting another "Reforest the Ozarks" event.
For $10 each, you can choose from several varieties of trees.
That's at the Missouri Entertainment and Event Center. It begins at 9:00 am and goes until 1:00 pm or until the trees are gone.

The Discovery Center is hosting a free day on the 19th with educational activities and exhibits focusing on Mother Earth.

The Springfield Conservation Nature Center will have educational activities and hands-on work projects.

The Dickerson Park Zoo is hosting a "Party for the Planet" on the 19th from 10:00 am  - 2:00 pm.

And beginning on the 18th and finishing up on the 19th, Master Gardeners of Greene County and Missouri Master Naturalists are installing a green roof from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm That's at the Green Circle Shopping Center,  4221 South National.
