Republican Michael Wardell of Nixa says he'll formally announce his candidacy on Monday. He'll be at the Nixa Community Center. Wardell's a small business owner and retired disabled Marine. He's hoping to take Congressman Roy Blunt's seat. Blunt is vying for retiring Senator Kit Bond's spot. Wardell joins a slew of big names running for the Seventh District including auctioneer Billy Long, Greene County Prosecutor Darrell Moore, Senator Jack Goodman, Senator Gary Nodler, OTC instructor Jeff Wisdom and fitness worker Mike Moon. |
