
It used to be an industrial corridor and rail yard. Eventually, it will be a natural space filled with greenway trails and wetland areas -- but a lot of work needs to be done before any of that happens.
Part of the help for the future Jordan Valley West Meadows will come from the EPA today.
At 10:30 this morning, the EPA is expected to formally announce a $200,000 grant to clean up that tract of land.
The grant does require a 20 percent match, which will come from a voter-approved quarter-cent capital improvement sales tax.
