Thursday, Apr 3, 2008 @06:40am CDT Guest speakers will be at Drury University this morning, hoping to convince students to "go green." The speakers say you really can save the environment one piece of paper at a time. Karyn Kaplan and Robyn Hathcock will talk about how a campus can make a commitment to environmental sustainability, based on their work at the University of Oregon. Since that green effort began in 1990, it's not only helped the environment, it has also created internship and volunteer opportunities for students. Today's presentation is open to the public. It's at Drury University's Clara Thompson Hall, and it begins at 11:00 this morning. While it is geared toward campus life, the ideas may be something you can use at home or at work. |
