Sunday, Jul 5, 2009 @08:42pm CDT Visit the outskirts of Marshfield and you might think you've stepped back in history.
Music, crafts, jousting and dancing are all part of the White Hart Renaissance Faire. The annual event simulates village festivals during the Renaissance. The makeshift community even gets a visit from Queen Elizabeth I. Organizers say the most important people are the visitors who walk away with a real-life history lesson. "We teach, we entertain, but more than anything else, we share a love of this piece of history," entertainment director C. Wayne Owens says. The Faire continues next Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12. It's just outside Marshfield on Highway F. |
