(Labette County, KS) -- A woman from Springfield is dead after trying to cross a flooded creek in Labette County, Kansas.

Tonya Demoss, 22, and Tyler Odaffer, 26, of Parsons, Kansas, were both killed when their small car was swept away. 

A water recovery team found their bodies Wednesday morning. 

Their car had drifted about 200 feet from the crossing where it was washed away.  Both drowned inside the car, rescuers said.
