A Springfield teen is dead after a semi truck hits his bicycle.

The accident happened at the intersection of Campbell and Battlefield around 2:40 Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say the semi was turning left when 18-year-old Travis Tiller lost control of his bike and slid under the truck.  He was hit by the rear wheels of the tractor-trailer.  Tiller was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation into the the accident is on going.
