Reported by: Dan Lucy Friday, Feb 20, 2009 @07:59pm CST While the men are on the road, the Missouri State Lady Bears will be trying to pack the Q.
The Lady Bears will open a three game homestand with a special Saturday afternoon game against Wichita State. The University's offering special ticket pricing to try to fill every seat in the new arena. Also, the Lady Bears will be wearing pink uniforms as part of womens college basketball's breast cancer awareness program. Lady Bears associate head coach Trish Marsh is a cancer survivor and her team is proud to participate in this program. Casey Garrison/Lady Bears Guard:"Coach Marsh fought breast cancer and it's kind of a big deal for our team. To be a part of that and be able to contribute is pretty awesome. If we win these next two games we'll move into sixth place and that will help us out in the conference tournament." |
