Event Details:We package a well balanced vegetarian meal for those less fortunate. Help package food for the hungry in a very organized and structured environment. Children as young as 5 can help if accompanied by an adult.
Jobs Include
Packaging: One involves 4 people at a table – each add one cup/spoon of product to a bag This will require standing.
Weighing: Next step is weighing the bags to make sure they are proper for the FDA requirements. This will require standing.
Sealing: Next is Sealing where we try to remove as much air as possible and seal the bag. We have a limited number of chairs but this job can be done sitting or standing.
Boxing: Next 36 bags are loaded into a box and taped shut for shipping. This job requires the person to lift 40 pounds.
Restock: Also people help re-stock rice and soy so the packaging can continue uninterrupted and also it prepares us for the next session. This job requires the person to life 50 pounds
