The Foundation of Springfield Public Schools began in 1990 as a volunteer organization to provide financial resources for educational enrichment beyond the daily operational needs of the school district. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised more than $12 million to support Springfield Public Schools.

Our mission is to raise, manage, and distribute private investment to benefit the students of Springfield Public Schools. Our vision is to promote educational excellence for every child by working with the public school system and the community.

More than $12,000,000 has been raised since FSPS was founded in 1990. Most local families know little about the CRUCIAL SUPPORT they provide:

-       Manages 150+ scholarship funds and endowments
-       Provides 100+ scholarships to graduating seniors
-       Provides Teacher Grants for classroom supplies and school projects
-       Creates a better learning experience for our youth
-       Awarded $146,000+ in grant funds through the Back To School program
-       Funded “Safe & Sober” Prom Night Campaign

The Foundation does NOT RECEIVE government or United Way support. We enhance education ONLY through donations and endowments. By helping us raise awareness, you’ll HELP FUND even more projects like:
